Harry Edward Styles or Harry Styles as he is known to the world of pop music, is a British singing and composing. Harry Styles belongs to the band One Direction. Based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England, Styles is the child of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles was a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School. There, along with three schoolmates, he founded his own band called White Eskimo. Their outstanding performances allowed them to win in the Battle of Bands 2009. The musician was always fascinated by music but also wanted to pursue a career as an attorney, physiotherapist or even a scout. He was employed in a local bakery part-time in order to provide for his family. Harry Styles, in 2010 was a contestant on The X Factor. His track Is not She Lovely was and was performed by Stevie Wonder. The reason for this is that his band split. After the audition in The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles be part of the band to be named One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in the year 2010. The band of five was backed by Simon Cowell. They performed Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck without You as well Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart. They were one of the top contenders in the competition. They were however in third place behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Even though Harry Styles and his group did not win Cowell paid a contract of 2 million pounds for One Direction to sign with Syco. Syco record label.
