Mena Alexandra (born on 13 February 1979) is an actress and model hailing from the US. When she began her career as a model she soon became an actor after having appeared as a guest on 90's TV shows like Boy Meets World and High Incident. Her film debut was in the drama Nowhere. She made the transition to important roles thanks to her performance as a character in American Beauty for which she was nominated for the BAFTA Award and American Pie both of which earned the attention of film critics. In 2000, she starred with her American Pie co star Jason Biggs. In 2002, she took on her role as the main character as the lead character in Sugar & Spice (2002). Spun the 2002 independent drama film and Trauma (2004) thriller were both featured in her career. In addition, she was a part of HBO's drama Six Feet Under in 2004 she was recognized as a member of the Outstanding Cast in the 2005 Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, she was cast in a string of films that included Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the adaptation to film to The Garden of Eden. Suvari is featured in a variety of blog and fashion publications and blogs, such as Vogue. She is the official Lancome model, and is featured on print advertisements for Lancome Paris Adaptive. She is an activist and an avid supporter of the African Medical and Research Foundation. Additionally, she has been active in issues of female empowerment and is involved with charities whose cause is breast cancer and End Violence Against Women campaign. The most prominent roles she has played include Dark Angel Heroes, The Chris Isaak Show Black Sash Reaper, and Rookie Blue.
