Rihanna was born in Saint Michael, Barbados and raised there. She was a candidate for Evan Rogers, an American record producer who requested her to make demo tapes in United States. Rihanna was signed to Def Jam in 2005 and quickly became a household word with the release of her debut two studio album, Music of the Sun (2005), and A Girl Like Me (2006). Both were heavily influenced by Caribbean music and reached the top ten spot on the US Billboard 200 charts. Good Girl Gone Bad, Rihanna's third album, was heavily influenced and influenced by dance pop. It made her a sex icon in the music industry. She has had a number one and has 31 top ten hits in the US and also a top ten artist in the UK with 30 entries. Nine Grammy Awards, 13 American Music Awards including the Icon Award, 12 Billboard Music Awards in addition to six Guinness World Records and the NAACP's President's Award are just a couple of her achievements. Time named her one the 100 most influential individuals in the world in 2012 and in 2018. Forbes listed her among the top 10 celebrities with the highest earnings in 2012/2014. Forbes placed her among the top ten highest-paid celebrities in 2012 and in 2014. She is now the most successful female singer with a reported net worth of $1.4 billion.
